The Goods

Will my laptop / phone fit?

If the name of your laptop or phone is not included in the product specifications then we highly recommend that you check the measurements that we will have written in the description. These will help you decide whether you have a match with your desired gadget.

There are many other products that fit in the Tefors bags or cases but it simply wouldn’t be practical to list them all… hope yours fits!

If it doesn’t, then why not let us know and we may consider launching in the future a new Tefors product for you!

How accurate is the leather colour I see on my monitor?

We go to great lengths to ensure that the shade of colour displayed in the images matches accurately that of the real life product. Please bear in mind that the accuracy of the actual colours you see on your monitor may depend on the level of calibration of your screen.

As one of our brand values is to use high quality genuine leather, as expected it is possible that there may be certain inequalities of material and colour which are not regarded as defects.


These factors are in fact what give genuine leather goods their character and uniqueness.

Is it worth spending the extra bit on a leather product?

Simply put, it definitely is. Perhaps we are slightly biased but on top of the stylish design and added versatility of Tefors bags, you will own a high quality product that is made to last.

To illustrate this, let me share an experience. I once acquired what I thought were the most affordable yet surprisingly decent headphones. In a brief tale, frustrated by losing my second pair of headphones in just 10 days, I decided to visit the nearest corner shop and picked the most budget-friendly option available, costing merely £1.49. Delighted to have music back in my life, my joy was short-lived. As I approached the first traffic light, the left earpiece ceased functioning.

What lesson did I learn? It isn’t initial price that represents the cost in real terms, but the price spread out over the lifetime of the product. The same idea is valid for Tefors leather goods.

The bag I purchased happens to have some markings on the exterior. Is that a defect?

Not at all! Sometimes more accentuated on leathers such as Nubuck, what you are seeing is probably the mark of a scarring event sometime down the line in the animal’s history.

We take great care when selecting the genuine leather to make sure it is of the highest quality, and part of this process involves ruling out leather which has a finishing coat added to the surface to cover the slight differences in texture or colour. Maintaining the properties of genuine leather ensures that rather than the goods wearing out over time, they develop a rich patina over time.

In fact we sometimes get requests from customers specifically requesting goods with these marks, or what we like to call ‘character scars’.

In other words, if we wanted a perfectly even look we would choose plastic over genuine leather.

How long are Tefors products covered by warranty?

Quality is one of our primary values and for that reason we are very picky when it comes to choosing the natural materials we use as well as the craftsmanship involved in shaping these into a Tefors product.

Although unlikely, if a product breaks as a result of a manufacturing defect then we apologise in advance and we ask you to contact us within the periods stated below so that we can help you out as soon as possible.

Bags: Warranty for this type of products is 12 months from the purchase date.

Small goods: The warranty for wallets, phone cases etc. is 8 months from the purchase date.

Please bear in mind: In the event that you discover a problem caused by wear and tear we recommend taking your goods to a leather repair shop.

Protecting Leather Goods

How should I best take care of my leather goods?

– First of all and probably the most important point is common sense. Nubuck leather does indeed need more attention than other leathers such as full grain but as long as you apply common sense and avoid using any cleaning products that have harsh chemicals or alcohol in them, the leather should maintain its quality look.

– If you choose to use a leather cleaner we recommend also applying a conditioner in order to ensure that the leather is replenished with its needed oils. There is no single rule as to how much conditioning your leather needs as it all depends on the way the good is used and elements it is exposed to. If the leather appears dried-out and dull then that is most likely a sign that it is lacking its natural oils, therefore it is probably a good time to apply the conditioning treatment.

– Avoid as much as possible heavy rain as there is a possibility that it could lead to stains. This is particularly relevant to Nubuck leather. A precautionary measure may be using protectors specially destined for nubuck and suede. One of these products is Kiwi Suede and Nubuck Protector.

On the Kiwi website you will also find other cleaning products for various types of leather which we have found effective in the past. There are many other brands out there that offer similar products that may be worth considering.

Regardless of the product, we strongly advise that you test-spray on a small and unnoticeable part of your bag (such as the bottom) first to see if the product will discolour or have any adverse effect on the leather.

How secure is the purchasing process?

You can rest assured that we never share your information to any third party. Your details are only used to contact you about matters concerning your order or for other reasons regarding Tefors.

On the Tefors Online Store, every purchase is made with maximum security as a result of the most advanced encryption services (SSL) which ensures that all data transmitted between the web server and browser remains encrypted. We use protected connections, as demonstrated by the ”https” URL prefix that appears in the browser’s address bar.

To safeguard your credit card purchases, you will always be asked to enter your CVV code for every order. Our Payments department may carry out anti-fraud checks before approving the transaction and for greater protection, in some situations they may contact you for further details before confirming the order.

Can Customs Fees be applied to orders?

Customs fees are the responsibility of the customers. These fees may be applicable if your country of delivery has decided to apply import fees. TEFORS has no control over these charges and we can’t tell you what the cost would be, as customs policies and import duties vary widely from country to country. 

Delivery to EU Countries. 
The goods ordered from Tefors.com are shipped out from the European Union except for the Ultimatum Bag and its Add-ons.

If your country of delivery is also within the European Union, no customs fees will be applied. As of January 1st, 2021 UK is no longer a member of the UK, so import duties may apply. Please check with your local customs office to find out more information about tariffs when importing goods from the EU to UK.
The Ultimatum Bag, alongside its Add-ons, will be delivered from our warehouse in Shenzhen, China. All related fees applicable to Ultimatum orders are not the responsibility of Tefors and they should entirely be covered by the client.

Delivery to Non-EU Countries
If you are choosing to have your order shipped to a country that is not within the European Union, we suggest checking with your national customs authorities, the tariffs that may be applied to the category of products that you are ordering from Tefors.com.

Delivery to the US
As a reference, the US generally does not apply import fees for personal use purchases when the goods have a value that is under 800 USD. Please keep in mind that this is only as a reference, and we advise you to check the up-to-date information on the U.S. Customs and Border Protection website.

Returns & Exchanges

Can I return an item I purchased online?

Peace of mind for our customers is extremely important to us. Therefore if you feel that the product does not quite right for you then we ask you to contact us immediately by email at hello@tefors.com. Please keep in mind that the request must be made within the first 14 days of receipt. For the La Marque Quadrum Pen, a 30-day return period is provided.

In accordance with the European legislation, customers have 14 days to cancel their order by email (hello@tefors.com), from the date that the good was delivered by our shipping courier.  The customer must then return the unused goods back within 14 days of informing Tefors and proof of compliance to this will be necessary.

The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs involved in the process of returning the product or products.

For the return to be accepted it must be visibly in exactly the same condition it was received in – unworn, unmarked, unwashed and with all the product labels intact. Please understand that the products must not be used at all. In return we guarantee that the goods you receive from us are 100% new. No refund will be made if the product has been used beyond opening or if it is damaged.

Please keep in mind that faulty items which have been used, are no longer eligible for a refund. If the fault is determined to be a manufacturing one, then our team will offer the option of repairing or exchanging the product. A refund in this case is no longer possible.

The customer must ensure they have a Proof of Posting for the parcel. We recommend the use of Special Delivery or Recorded Delivery. Tefors will not be held accountable for any item going missing in the post and this will protect you against the loss of items.

Once the goods are received by us and they have passed our quality check, we will issue you a refund to the full price of the purchased good. Please note that shipping and import fees are not refundable.

Please keep in mind that personalised goods can not be returned. Should a personalised good have a manufacturing issue, we will offer the possibility to have these issues repaired, however personalised or custom made goods are not subject to a refund.the request must be made within the first 14 days of receipt.

My item seems to be faulty. What should I do?

We are to help out in all situations. Our goods pass a number of quality checks, including a final inspection before the item is packaged and sent out to a customer. Having said this, in rare occasions it is possible that your item my have a manufacturing issue.

In this case, we will ask you to contact us by email at hello@tefors.com with a couple of photos showing the reason for your concern so that we can have a better understanding of the matter at hand. Once this has been done, we will get back to you as soon as possible with a suggestion to have this resolved.

Please keep in mind that faulty items which have been used, are no longer eligible for a refund. If the fault is determined to be a manufacturing one, then our team will offer the option of repairing or exchanging the product. Subsequent exchanges are not eligible for refunds.

Whether it will be possible will depend on whether your bag has already been crafted and or shipped out.

What are the key differences between each model?

1. VINTAGE SAFFIANO LEATHER
WATER RESISTANT EDITION

Saffiano leather is a textured leather praised for its durability and high resistant yet elegant finish. As a result of its special exterior coating layer, the leather is water repellent and exceptionally easy to keep clean. We went one step further and upgraded all the zippers that have direct access to the interior with water-resistant ones to complement the water repellent properties of the leather, making it ideal for those that want less worries about getting caught out by a shower.

2. BLACK SAFFIANO LEATHER
WATER RESISTANT EDITION

The Black Saffiano leather shares all the properties listed above that are particular to this type of leather. The sleek Black Saffiano appearance is accentuated by the silver accessories, giving it a subtle, but noteworthy presence in any occasion. Just like the Vintage Saffiano, this model only comes with a metal zipper on the Briefcase side, to give it an added touch of elegance.

3. BLACK LEATHER & OLIVE
ORIGINAL EDITION

The Black & Olive edition is the only two tone Ultimatum. It is composed of the same leather as the Black Ultimatum, as well as a complementing olive, custom, lightweight fabric that has good water resistant properties. Its lines and black leather maintain its timeless look, while the olive fabric give it a more casual aesthetic. The Black & Olive is also lighter by approx 200g in comparison to the other models.

4. RUM LEATHER
ORIGINAL EDITION

The Rum leather on the Ultimatum makes it a classic, elegant option for those that want to stand out, and want a brown shade of leather that always has and always will be appreciated. The full-grain cowhide leather with a semi-aniline finish means the leather maintains many of its natural properties, characteristics, and appearance. This leather type can naturally have areas with a slightly different texture, unlike the Saffiano leather which has a uniform pattern all-across its surface.

5. BLACK LEATHER
ORIGINAL EDITION

The Black leather Ultimatum can be taken just about, anywhere, anytime. Its leather shares all the characteristics of that of the Rum Ultimatum, but in a relatively matt, black exterior. It has a similar appearance to that of the Black Saffiano, however it doesn't come with the same water resistant zipper. Also in contrast to the Black Saffiano, this leather has a more diverse texture across its surface and does require more attention and care over time. This semi-aniline finish is preferred by some because it captures a light patina with use, while others prefer the more constant and less changing appearance over time of the Saffiano leather.

Returns

Manufacturing Defects

Should a purchased product arrive with a manufacturing defect, we kindly ask you to get in touch by email (hello@tefors.com) before using the product so that we can have it repaired or replaced depending on the circumstances.

If a manufacturing issue arises in the first 12 months since the order has been placed and the product has been used, the product will no longer be eligible for a refund, however we will take all the necessary steps to ensure that it is repaired or replaced. Accidental damages or those that occur as a result of use, are not deemed as manufacturing defects and therefore will not be covered by the warranty.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tefors exclude all liability for any damages (howsoever arising, including without limitation through contract, tor (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise) arising out of or in connection with your access to (or inability to access) or use of the Site and its contents. All conditions, warranties and other terms which may be implied by statute, common law or otherwise are hereby excluded to the maximum extent permitted by law. In no event shall Tefors or their respective officers, directors, contractors, employees or agents be liable for: (i) any indirect, special, or consequential loss or damage, or (i) loss of profit, (iii) loss of business, (iv) loss of contract, or (vii) loss of data, in each case, incurred by any user in connection with the Site, any sites linked to it and any materials posted on it, even if Tefors has been previously advised of the possibility of such damage. These Terms of Use shall be governed by, construed and enforced in accordance with the laws of Romania.
